About the Founder

“I created CulturWell to build what I couldn’t find.”

For over two decades, Dr. Angelita Scott worked across higher education, design, and real estate, noticing a persistent disconnect between the values organizations expressed and the environments they created. Spaces felt polished but not always supportive. Policies were written with thought, but not always for everyone.

CulturWell emerged in response. Its vision is grounded in a simple truth: well-being and culture

are not separate concerns. They shape one another. To truly support people, we must consider both their cultural context and their physiological and psychological needs. This evidence-based built environment integration, grounded in pioneering research conducted by Dr. Scott, is referred to as cultural well-being.

Through this lens, Dr. Scott helps organizations design systems that uphold dignity, reduce harm, and cultivate conditions where people can thrive. Her work moves beyond intention into embodiment, guiding institutions toward futures defined by clarity, care, and integrity.
